Entrance and infrastructure work for new radiology facility

Royal United Hospital Bath Foundation Trust

The development consisted of a new single storey extension to the front of the Radiology Department at Bath Royal United Hospital, primarily to house a new MRI and CT scanner.

We installed the infrastructure works including electromagnetic shielding for the new MRI scanner and essential lead shielding works for the CT Scanner.

Other site works consisted of Control Rooms, a reconfigured Ultrasound Suite, a new Courtyard infill that provided space for a new waiting, changing and reception area and new state of the art roof mounted plant with louvre screening to replace the old out-dated and inefficient plant to future proof the Ward’s requirements.

The team really grasped the scale and complexity of our project. As well as keeping to a tight timeline, they kept me well informed throughout the process and delivered on time and on budget despite a number of challenges along the way.

Southmead Hospital – fire integrity reviews and upgrades

North Bristol NHS Trust

We have worked with the Hospital Trust on a major three year project to review and upgrade the fire integrity within some of the older buildings on site. Works were undertaken on occupied wards, and on a ward by ward basis.

Over 700 existing fire door-set’s were replaced with modern certified equivalents.

NHS grade service penetrations, wall upgrades and fire separation improvements were also carried out and certified, helping to ensure the hospital’s fire protection and compliance with Fire Regulations.
